BUILDING NUMBERS

CCGPS states
MCC.K.CC.3. Write numbers from 0 to 20. Represent a number of objects with a written numeral 0-20 (with 0 representing a count of no objects).

During Math Workshop we will be introducing, practicing, and reviewing this for weeks.
Here are two anchor charts that we have worked on so far.  The left is the opening and the right is the closing.  The students that are chosen to share are able to put their work directly on the chart.  They love it!

 

 

 

 

 

 

The students love when they do the closing.  They get to share their thinking and answer other students questions.
