American Symbols

We have been learning about 3 American Symbols. The American Flag, Statue of Liberty, and the Bald Eagle.

We observed 3 pennies and then put them in a cup with vinegar (they said it smelled like Easter eggs😂)
After a few hours they started changing colors. The next day they were turquoise.

They love the eagle cam. It is a live feed but you can also look at prior videos. We saw the eagle on her nest and then the daddy eagle brought food. When she got up to eat, we were able to see 2 eggs. The first egg is due to hatch the 14th and the 2nd egg the 17th.
