Spooky Math Stations

Our Math Stations are super spooky right now.

Station 1: Smart Board
We are working on comparing sets.
 Station 2: <,>,=
Creating sets that are greater than, less than, and equal to the number we roll on our 10 sided dice

Station 3: creating sets/1:1 correspondence
Students toss their spooky eraser on to the number strips.  Then they would create a set.

Station 4: 20 frames
Students create sets up to 20 and use mathematical dialogue to tell : how many to get to the next 10, how many groups of 10 and how many more.

Station 5: Candy corn Match
Studnets match the number (the white part of the candy corn) to the number word (yellow part of the candy corn) to the set (the orange part of the candy corn.

Spiders

Spiders are so cool! We learned how they are not insects because they only have 2 body parts and they have 8 legs!

Do you think spiders are cool or creepy?  It was close but most of us think they are creepy! (I agree)

Spiders showed up everywhere this week.

Once we learned all of our new facts about spiders we had to write about them! Everyone did an amazing job!

Fall Centers

We had a blastwith our fall centers! We had a rooms filled with activities and crafts.  We visited the 2 monster rooms, a spider room, bone room, scarecrow room, and pumpkin room.  It was 2 hours of craziness but everyone had a blast! Thank you to all the parents who helped!
