Dugan Dash

The Dugan Dash was AWESOME!!!
First we went over to the high school track and ran/jogged/walked.

Yah!  We finished!!!!

Next we went inside and had water and popcorn.  ðŸ˜Š

Next we went to the gym and were able to participate in different fitness stations.

Our 3 students who raised at least $50 were able to jump.

What is Gravity?

What is gravity?  Today we read several books on gravity. We then charted our responses. All of our answers seemed to all say one of the three statements we put on the chart.

Then we wrote about gravity.

The next day we illustrated our Gravity poem in our Poetry Journal.

We also watched the Magic School Bus Gains Weight during recess today since the ground was still wet. It was about a slam dunk contest and how gravity effects weight.

Force and Motion

How do things move?

We read several books and talked about why and how things move.

I am playing tug of war.

Somebody is pushing him.  (On a swing)

I am playing football.

Things move by push and pull.

Sorting and Ordering Sets

We started a new standard today.
"I can count objects and sort them into groups by how many. I can sort them from fewest to greatest."

They moved the sets into the correct order, drew a matching set, and numbered the set.

We have also practiced by rolling dice.

Media Center, Guidance, and Zero the Hero

We went to guidance today !  Mrs. Pendley taught us about being good listeners.  Brennan, Jemal, Lizzy, and Lauren won the green tickets today.

Then we went to the Media Center since we are out of school tomorrow. Mrs. Robertson read to us and we checked out our library books for the week.

Today is day 60 ands Zero the Hero came to visit!
