It was a lot of fun to talk about our feelings on the first day of school. We read Wemberly Worried and The Kissing Hand. After reading The Kissing Hand, we charted how we felt on the first day of school. We used the sentence stem, The first day of school I felt_________. They were able to copy from the anchor chart. It was interesting to watch them illustrate and finish their sentences.
When we read Wemberly Worried, we were able to talk about different things that worry us. Their ideas were charted and they completed the sentence starter, I worry about____________.
I cannot wait to compare these writings to their writings at the end of the year.
