The Kissing Hand

We read The Kissing Hand this week. I tear up every year when I read I read this. 

After we read, we talked about how we felt on the first day of school and graphed our results. 

Day 2

We continued with David Goes to School and came up with our classroom rules. 

Then we made our own David. 

And chose our favorite rule for David to say in his dialogue bubble. 😊

Next we continued playing Who Stole The Cookies From The Cookie Jar.  We are quickly learning everyone's names! 

Then we were able to read The Kissing Hand. We discussed how we felt on the first day of school and made a graph. 

I loved all the observations they gave me as we were creating our graph.  

We will be writing about our feelings tomorrow!
