Diagraphs

What is a diagraph?   A diagraph is when 2 or more letters come together to make one sound. We are focusing on the consonant diagraphs th, sh, and ch. 

we talked about how l, unlike a blend, you don't hear the sounds individually.  They work together and make something new.  I used he illustration of white milk and chocolate syrup.  When mixed you don't see the white milk and you can't see the syrup but you get something different.
