Valentine's Day

Valentine's Day was so much fun! We sorted our Conversation hearts by color, graphed the results, and then wrote observations.  The best part...they were able to eat their data(conversation hearts) when we finished!

Washington/Washington Monument, Lincoln/Lincoln Memorial

We learned a lot of facts about Washington and Lincoln the past two weeks.  We also, learned about the Washington Monument and the Lincoln Memorial.  I loved that we were able to make the connection of where Martin Luther king Jr stood during his famous speech and the Lincoln Memorial. We worked on using graphic organizers to brainstorm our facts and then use those facts in our writing.  They did an amazing job! 

GoNoodle

We have been using GoNoodle for our brain breaks all year  the kids love it! I was so excited when Love Shack showed up on the site. I love hearing them sing and seeing them dance 🎶

Groundhogs Day

Will the groundhog see his shadow? 

We made our predictions.  

We watched the video to see....

sadly he saw his shadow so 6 more weeks of winter :( 

We read several books on groundhogs and learned so many cool  new facts.  Then we made an informational book about groundhogs.  Their writing turned out AMAZING! Mrs. Enfinger and I are so proud of it!

Did you know that groundhogs burrows have different rooms, an emergency exit, and their tunnels uare dug so they will not flood?  We were so excited about it that we designed our own burrows!
