Answering Story Problems using the Number Line

When we place our lines on the number line, we do not start at 0 or 1.  Since we are practicing addition, we always start with the greatest number and then count on.

Addition Math Strategy - ten frame

Last week we worked on drawing a picture to represent our story problem.  This week we worked on using ten frames to help organize our information and answer our story problem.
