Donor's Choose - Document Camera
I have started a project with Donor's Choose. Donor's Choose is a
website where teachers can request supplies and family, friends, or even
strangers can donate. All donations are tax deductible. I am
requesting a document camera so we can project manipulatives and papers
onto the smart board. Please share with your friends and family. You
can post the link on social media also. No donation is too small.

Day and Night
Our standard states - I can identify the difference between day and night.
We watched the Pixar Mini Day and Night and read What the Sun Sees, What the Moon Sees. Then we filled out our chart.

We illustrated and wrote about something we can do during the day and at night.

We also sorted pictures into things tags were out during the day and night (or both).
MLK
We started out day by reading two books about Martin Luther King.
This song is sung to the tune of "Bingo"
There was a man who had a dream His name was Mar-tin Lu-ther King Mar-tin Lu-ther King Mar-tin Lu-ther King Mar-tin Lu-ther King His name was Mar-tin Lu-ther King
Doctor King, he had a dream He wanted peace for everyone P-E-A-C-E P-E-A-C-E P-E-A-C-E His name was Mar-tin Lu-ther King!

I love this activity. I cut out squares and rectangles in different sizes and the students followed directions on how to fold and /or cut them to form new shapes. It was a great listening and following directions activity and I loved that they all turned out great and different.
We also created MLK mystery picture with our 100 Charts.
